Maud Huijbens Tabbed WCC Player of the Week

Huijbens had a career week and recorded two double doubles

SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Gonzaga's Maud Huijbens had a career week to earn Heluva Good Dip West Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week honors. This is her first-time recipients of WCC weekly honors.

Gonzaga forward Maud Huijbens had a dominant week as she posted a pair of double-doubles and set and reset her career high in scoring while leading the Bulldogs to wins at Portland and at home against Santa Clara. She averaged 21.0 points and 11.0 rebounds, while shooting 73.1 percent (19-of-26) from the field for the week. In the win at Portland, Huijbens was a perfect 6-of-6 from the field in the first half and finished the game with 19 points and 12 rebounds. In the victory against Santa Clara, she totaled 23 points and 10 rebounds. Huijbens was 6-of-7 from the field in the second half against the Broncos for 13 points.
