SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga men's basketball was ranked No. 20 in the preseason USA TODAY Sports/Coaches poll.
Gonzaga opens in the top-20 of the poll for the 13th straight year. GU appears in the coaches' preseason poll for the 16th straight season.
Purdue was No. 1 in the preseason poll for the first time in program history, collecting 18 of the 31 first-place votes. Houston received 12 first-place votes and was No. 2. Defending national champion Florida also received a first-place vote and was No. 3. UConn and Duke round out the Top 5.
