STOCKTON, Calif. – The Gonzaga women's basketball took control early at Pacific and never let go of the lead in the double-digit win, 72-56.
Three Zags scored in double figures, led by
Yvonne Ejim's 21 points.
Maud Huijbens was the next leading scorer with 12 and Inês Bettencourt had 11 points.
Gonzaga took the 21-12 lead at the end of the first quarter. The team shot an impressive 53.3% from the floor as Ejim led the team with eight points.
Esther Little and
Bree Salenbien both grabbed three rebounds as GU out-rebounded Pacific, 12-5.
GU held onto its lead for the remainder of the half and went up 45-24 going into halftime. Ejim had 18 points in the first half and went 7-for-9 from the field. Salenbien led the team in rebounds with five and also tallied seven points.
The Bulldogs closed out the game by holding on to the lead the remainder of the game. Bettencourt brought a lot of energy from the bench in the second half and scored 11 points for Gonzaga.
The Zags shot an overall 48.1% from the floor and held the Tigers to 34.5%. Defensively, GU forced 12 turnovers and scored 11 points off those miscues.
GU had another impressive rebounding effort on the night, grabbing 45 rebounds and held Pacific to 23.
Tayla Dalton grabbed a team-high nine rebounds as Huijbens also had eight.

- With 21 points today,
Yvonne Ejim has scored double digits in 72-straight games. It is her 18th game this season where she has scored 20 points or more.
- With two threes today, Turner is sixth in 3-point field goals made in a single season with 86. She only needs 10 more to tie
Brynna Maxwell's record of 96 made in 2023-24.
- The Zags have a chance to clinch the WCC Regular Season Title this Saturday at Santa Clara. It would be GU's 20th title.
