SAN FRANCISCO – Gonzaga's
Grace Lee followed up her medalist finish last week with a third-place finish at the USF Invitational at The Olympic Club Tuesday.
Lee had her third Top-5 finish of the season, and fourth Top-10 finish in her nine events in 2024-25. She was four-over (217) in the two-day 54-hole event. The junior remained near the top of the leaderboard after leading the 53-golfer field going two-under (2.83) on the course's Par-3 holes. Her nine birdies also matched the most in the event. The Bellevue, Wash., native, carded a 71 (E) in both the first and second rounds.
Carys Baek's 42 pars were the most in the tournament. She tied for 12
th at nine-over (222). The senior was one-over (72) in Round 2.
Michelle Mogi (+23, 236) and
Darby Rickel (+24, 237) were 45
th and 47
th.
Esther Yoo placed 50
th at 30-over (243).
BYU's Maria Jose Barragan took medalist honors at one-over (214). Katherine Gerbing of UC Irvine placed second at three-over (216).
BYU held off UC Irvine for the team title. The Cougars were 31-over (883) as a team, while UC Irvine was 33-over (885).
Gonzaga is at the West Coast Conference Championships next April 17-19. The annual event is at the Green Valley Country Club in Fairfield, Calif. Live scoring will be available on GoZags.com.
