Lee Ties for Fifth at WCC Championships

Zag junior cards a 71 in the final round

FAIRFIELD, Calif. – Gonzaga's Grace Lee tied for fifth at the 2025 West Coast Conference Women's Golf Championship at Green Valley Country Club.
 
Lee closed the 54-hole, three-day event carding a 71 (-1) in the final round, making the largest climb on the leaderboard in the 33-golfer field. The junior finished at three-over (219) in the tournament. Her final round featured four birdies and 11 pars. She was three-under (2.75) on the course's Par-3 holes, which matched the lowest in the event. It was Lee's fourth Top-10 finish of the season, and third in the Top-5.
 
The Bulldogs placed sixth as a team at 19-over (307). GU's lowest round was on Day 1 at 11-over (299).
 
Carys Baek tied for 13th at six-over (222). She opened with a 74 (+2), was one-over (73) in Round 2, and finished with a 75 (+3). Darby Rickel placed 27th at 25-over (241).
 
The West Coast Conference individual title was decided in a playoff, as Oregon State's Raya Nakao defeated San Francisco's Eva Pett on the second playoff hole to secure medalist honors. Nakao (66-74-72) and Pett (71-71-70) each finished the 54-hole tournament with a 4-under 212. Both individuals recorded a bogey on the first playoff hole. On the second playoff hole, Nakao's chip shot from behind the bunker came to a rest five feet from the cup. Following a bogey by Pett, Nakao sunk her par putt and captured the individual crown.
 
The Beavers secured the conference title by two strokes over defending champion Pepperdine. Oregon State finished the conference championship with a 5-over 869 (286-290-293).
