Men’s Cross Country Releases 2025 Schedule

The Bulldogs will host the West Coast Conference Championships Nov. 1 in Spokane

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga Men's Cross Country Head Coach Pat Tyson announced the Bulldogs' 2025 fall schedule on Thursday. Their slate features seven regular season meets leading up to the West Coast Conference Championships, which GU will host on Nov. 1 in Spokane.

The Gonzaga men placed second at the WCC Championships in 2024, just one year after earning their first ever crown in 2023. Additionally, the Bulldogs will look to return to the NCAA Cross Country Championships after their five-year team streak was snapped last fall. Still, GU has earned at least an individual bid to Nationals in each season since 2019 and will hope to also extend that streak to seven in 2025.

The fall slate will open at the Clash of the Inland Northwest for the 15th consecutive season on Eastern Washington's Cheney campus Aug. 29. The Gonzaga men have won each of the last eight team titles, including the last seven individual titles. Then on Sept. 12, the Zags will make the short trip to Colfax for the Cougar Classic at the Colfax Golf Club, last year's NCAA West Regional site.

Gonzaga will get their first look at the 2025 NCAA Cross Country Championship course in Columbia, Mo., on Sept. 26, racing at the Gans Creek Classic hosted by the University of Missouri.

For the third straight season, GU will race at the Whitman Invitational in Walla Walla, Wash., on Oct. 4. Another familiar meet, the Inland Empire Classic, is next on Oct. 11 in Lewiston, Idaho.

The Nuttycombe Invitational will pit the Bulldogs against some of the nation's top teams on Oct. 14. The Gonzaga men have competed at each of the last five Nuttycombe races on the Thomas Zimmer Cross Country Course, placing as high as seventh in 2021.

Wrapping up the regular season is the Sasquatch Invite on Oct. 24, a local meet hosted by the Community Colleges of Spokane at the Spokane Polo Club.

The 2025 West Coast Conference Championships will make their way to the Pacific Northwest for the first time since 2015. Gonzaga will host the championship meet on Nov. 1 at the brand-new Spokane Valley Cross Country Course, where the men will look to win their second title in three years.

On Nov. 14, the NCAA West Regional Championships return to Sacramento and will be hosted by Sacramento State for the third time since 2021. GU has placed in the top six in each regional meet since 2019, finishing as the team runner up in back-to-back seasons (2022, 2023). There the Bulldogs will aim to punch their ticket back to the NCAA Championships, which are slated for Nov. 22 back at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo.
