TULSA, Okla.- The Gonzaga men's tennis team continued tournament play today in the consolation bracket at the ITA All-American Championships.
In consolation play, Gonzaga's duo of
Jay Fairclough and
Giovanni Branchetti bounced back strong, posting a 6-3, 6-4 win over Arkansas' Gabriel Elicha Navas and Brendan Boland. The win marked the Zags' first victory of the tournament after a hard-fought opener against North Carolina.
The Bulldogs took control right away in the first set and stayed in charge all the way through the match.
The win gives Zags positive momentum heading into the remainder of their fall schedule. They will continue their fall season at the UC Davis Invite on Oct 10-12.
