The Gonzaga men's tennis team opened their first home match of the spring season against Weber State, taking the win 4-0.
Gonzaga jumped into doubles with the Bulldog pair of
Diego Herrera and
Gus Krauel defeating Clement Lecoq and William Zulch, 6-3. The Zags clinched the doubles when
Giovanni Branchetti and
Jay Fairclough earned a 6-3 victory against Dinh and Mottier.
Gonzaga continued their energy into singles play, with
Oscar Rashed taking on Weber State's Dawid Scholtz and winning the first singles match for the Zags, 6-2 and 6-2. On court, No. 6, Sophomore
Diego Herrera faced Zulch and swept the court with a 6-0 and 6-3 victory for the Zags.
Nicholas Reeves finished off the last point, taking home the win for the Zags, 7-6, 1-6, and 6-3.
The men's team will be back at the Stevens Center on Monday, February 16th, at 10 am to take on Cal Poly.
