PEORIA, Ariz. – The Gonzaga women's golf team finished 15th at the Westbrook Invitational, posting a three-round total of 36-over (900) against a strong field. The tournament was hosted by Wisconsin at the Westbrook Village Golf Course.
Grace Lee led Gonzaga with a 59th-place finish at five-over par (221). Lee opened the tournament with a 72 (E), followed with a 73 (+1) in the second round, and closed with a 72 (E).
Brenna Preap finished 69th at 10-over par (226). Preap started with a 75 (+3), improved to a 77 (+5) in Round 2, and closed with a 74 (+2).
Taylor Mularski and
Vanessa Zhang each finished tied for 77th at 12-over par (228) and both built momentum as the tournament progressed. Mularski recorded rounds of 75 (+3) and 77 (+5) before closing strong with a 73 (+1). Zhang posted rounds of 77 (+5) and 80 (+8) before delivering the team's low round of the tournament with a 71 (-1) in the final round.
Esther Yoo rounded out the Gonzaga lineup, finishing 82nd at 15-over par (231). Yoo opened with a 77 (+5), improved to a 75 (+3) in the second round, and closed with a 77 (+5).
The Bulldogs posted their best team score in the final round, highlighted by Zhang's one-under 71 and multiple low-70s performances.
Missouri won the team title at 37-under (827), while Arizona was second at 35-under (829). Noa van Beek of Kansas State took medalist honors at 14-under (202).
