Gonzaga opened their second match out on the road playing Michigan State. The women's tennis team played hard against Michigan State but were defeated 4-0.
In doubles, Gonzaga's Brooke Bittner and Rose Hayes took on Michigan's Ellie Blackford Matilde Morais and loss 2-6. Zag duo Ella Nielsen and Sveva Zerpollini fought to win their set but came up short 2-6.
More in singles, Elizabeth Tindera played against Matilde Morais in a close battle but was defeated 4-6 and 5-7. Sveva Zerpollini also showed out for singles against Hanna Tsitavets winning the first set for the Zags 6-1 and losing the second 4-6 as the last set was unfinished.
Gonzaga women's team will be back at home this Saturday February 14th at 11am to take on Utah State.
