SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga women's basketball team was selected as the 12-seed in the Sacramento Region in the 2026 NCAA Tournament. The Zags drew 5th-seeded Ole Miss in the first round of the tournament and will play at No. 4-seeded Minnesota.

This will be the fourth time the two teams face each other. Gonzaga and Ole Miss (23-11) will travel to Minneapolis, Minn., as the Minnesota Gophers are the host team. The game is slated for Friday, March 20, at 12:30 p.m. Pacific Time on ESPN2. 

Gonzaga is making its 10th NCAA Tournament appearance under head coach Lisa Fortier. The last time the Zags were in the NCAA Tournament was the 2023-24 season when the Bulldogs advanced to the Sweet 16 as a No. 4 seed. This is the fourth time the Zags have been a 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament. 

Ole Miss currently sits at 23-11 overall and is coming off a loss to Texas in the SEC Tournament, 85-68. 

The winner of the GU and Ole Miss first-round game will advance to a second-round game against the winner of Minnesota vs. Green Bay.
