WROW: Zags Deliver Competitive Showing in All Boats at WCC Championships

LAKE NATOMA, Calif. – Gonzaga women's rowing delivered steady and competitive performances across all four events at the West Coast Conference Championships on Saturday at Lake Natoma. The Bulldogs earned top-three finishes in three of the four grand finals and saw three Zags collect All-WCC honors following the regatta.

Jenna Kleckler, Leah Manzo-McCottry and Lula Macey were each named to the All-WCC Team for their efforts throughout the season and at the conference championship.

Gonzaga opened the day in the WCC II Four Grand Final, where the Bulldogs placed third with a time of 7:55.229. The crew held strong through the middle 1,000 meters to stay ahead of San Diego, Portland and Saint Mary's.

The Zags added another third-place finish in the WCC I Four Grand Final, clocking 7:48.102. Gonzaga held its position throughout the race and remained in the front group behind Oregon State and Washington State.

In the WCC II Eight Grand Final, the Bulldogs earned their third third-place result of the morning, rowing a 7:13.380. The eight surged through the final 500 meters to secure the spot.

Gonzaga closed the championship with a fourth-place finish in the WCC I Eight Grand Final, crossing the line in 6:58.317. The Zags stayed tight with Washington State through the first half of the race before holding off Sacramento State in the closing stretch.

The Bulldogs put together a strong and consistent body of work across all boats and capped the weekend with three All-WCC honorees, highlighting another competitive showing at the conference level.
