2018-2019 (Senior): Singles: 16-6 on the season…4-3 in WCC play…played primarily at the No. 5 and No. 6 spots…claimed the singles title in the Blue Main Draw at the Dar Walters Classic at Boise State with a 7-5, 6-2 win over Montana’s Ludvig Hallgren in the finals…won two matches at the ITA Northwest Regionals with wins over San Francisco’s David Woodland 6-2, 6-1 and Ernesto Turegano of Washington 6-4, 6-4…began the spring slate with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over Nick Werner at Weber State…went on a five-match winning streak, before failing 1-6, 0-6 to Evan Lumsden at Washington…picked up his first WCC win of the year against Ben Gajardo of BYU 6-3, 3-6, 6-3…closed out the conference season with a win at Saint Mary’s against Matis Bot, 6-4, 6-4 and against Issa Yoshida of Portland, 6-1, 6-3. Doubles: 12-9 on the year in doubles play…played all matches but two with Simon Homedes Dualde… won three straight matches at the Dar Walters Classic…played one match at the ITA Northwest Regionals in a 3-8 loss to Even Lumsden and Ernesto Turegano of Washington…claimed his first win of the spring season 6-3 against Seattle’s Alex Chan and Billy Givens-Jensen…picked up two road wins against UC Irvine’s Daniel Gealer and Mason Hansen 7-5 and against Navy’s Derrick Thompson and Greg Durham 6-4 in Irvine, Calif…clinched the double’s point against Portland in a 6-4 win, to earn WCC Doubles Team of the Week with partner Homedes Dualde… went on a four-match winning streak to close out the season, defeating Arthur Neuhaus and Connor Garnett of Santa Clara 6-2 at the WCC Championships.

2017-18: Singles (Junior): Finished the season with an 18-11 overall record including a 9-6 tournament mark...picked up his first win of the season with a two-set win over Portland's Andrew Newell at the Aggie Invitational, 6-3, 6-1...won seven straight matches, beginning with five-straight at the Dar Walters Fall Classic followed by two wins at the ITA Division I Men's Northwest Regional Championship...advanced to the Round of 32 at the ITA championships, defeating Washington's Kawika Lam (6-2, 7-6) and Santa Clara's Robert Seby (4-6, 6-3, 6-3) in the process...finished 9-5 in duals with a 5-1 mark in WCC play...won three straight matches to open the spring season including a three-set victory over Idaho's Felipe Fonseca (6-0, 5-7, 6-2) to help Gonzaga to a perfect 7-0 sweep of the Vandals...won in straight sets against Yale's Fedor Andrienko (6-3, 6-1) to help the Bulldogs to a 5-2 win...picked up a three-set win against Paul Giraud on March 30, 6-3, 5-7, 6-1...battled Pacific's Johnathan Lieu in a three-set win on April 13, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1...ended the season with a 6-3, 6-0 win over Chambers Easterling of Saint Mary's. Doubles: Finished 7-11 overall on the season...paired with Bryan Husin for the fall season, finishing 3-7...picked up two wins in the consolation bracket of the Aggie Invitational, defeating Jackson Hawk and Daniel Krutik of Saint Mary's (8-5) followed by Drew Davison and Andrew Newell of Portland (8-7(5))...finished with a 5-4 duals mark with a 3-2 record in WCC play...posted a 6-0 rout of Whitworth's Nick Huges and Nicholas Adell to open the spring season...paired with Ruadhan O'Sullivan for four straight wins at No. 3 doubles from March 17 to March 31.

2016-17 (Sophomore): Singles: 10-8 overall in singles play, 3-4 during dual season...reached bracket semifinal in EWU Fall Classic Sept. 16-18...won first career bracket title Oct. 28-30 with four straight wins at Bulldog Classic Oct. 28-30...made first dual appearances of season Feb. 11 versus Sacramento State...won first dual match of year March 9 versus Samuel Taylor of Radford March 9...downed Air Force's Tadhg Collins in two sets a day later...claimed a conference win with 6-1, 6-3 victory over Tom Hill of Pepperdine April 23. Doubles: 4-6 overall in doubles play, 0-1 in duals...opened season with 8-3 over EWU's Bendjeli/Raveau with Kyle Everly at EWU Fall Classic...with Ruadhan O'Sullivan, beat Nevada's O'Donovan/Turc at Aggie Invitational Oct. 1...also beat the Wolf Pack's Lena/Cilic 8-6 Nov. 12 at Duck Invitational...lost only dual match played, April 21 vs. Loyola Marymount.

2015-16 (Freshman): Singles: Began GU career with 9-12 overall singles record, going 6-9 in dual play…won first collegiate match, a two-setter over Matt Alderson of Seattle U at EWU Fall Classic…won three of first four dual matches, including a three-setter over Lance Ngo of No. 73 Pacific to keep GU’s upset bid alive…moved up to No. 5 singles Feb. 15 vs. Idaho, beating Mark Kovacs in three sets…moved up to No. 4 singles a match later, with first win at No. 4 coming Feb. 28 at Utah State…split first two sets March 9 at No. 57 UC Irvine…also split first two sets at San Francisco and No. 69 Loyola Marymount. Doubles: 8-15 in doubles play, going 5-11 in duals…won first match at EWU Fall Classic with Ronzai Saurombe…picked up two wins at Bulldog Classic Oct. 30-Nov. 1 with Connor Arend…partnered with Ruadhan O’Sullivan for first dual win at No. 69 Arizona Jan. 31…6-1 win over Portland State at No. 2 doubles Feb. 21…also picked up win at No. 57 UC Irvine March 9…beat Saint Mary’s Vollenweider/Lamelas 6-2 April 15.  
High School:Graduated with high honors from Connections Academy in 2015 while attending Advantage Tennis Academy in Irvine, Calif. …was frequently commended on work ethic both in the class room and on the court.

Other Experience: Seen success in UTSA tournaments, winning the singles bracket at the Balboa Tennis Club Summer Junior Open and the La Jolla Junior Tennis Tournament…also reached the doubles final of the Anaheim Tennis Center Spring Open…internationally, made the doubles final of the Monterrey Contry ITF Junior Cup and semis of the Monterrey San Agustin ITF Junior Club.

Personal: Full name Emilio Moreno Chavez…parents are Maria and Francisco Daniel…has one brother named Francisco Eduardo…majoring in business administration…would like to graduate with high honors and then earn a Master’s degree after graduation…enjoys helping people…chose Gonzaga because “the student-athlete environment is very enjoyable and fun but has seriousness and focus as well. Also, the team, the coaches, and the rest of the staff that works here made me feel like I was home.”
