Biography
Gonzaga University- Graduated in 2013 having competed for the Zags for 4 years…primarily focused on the 1500 meters and 5000 meters outdoors and the 3000 meters indoors…had many injuries for his first two years at GU but found success his beginning his junior year indoors where he ran his indoor 3000 meter PR at the 2012 UW Final Qualifier running 8:39.02 following it up outdoors with a 3:58.32 1500 at the 2012 Oregon Relays and running his 5000 PR of 15:21.49 at the 2012 West Coast Invitational in his final race of the season…during his final campaign as a Zag he focused mostly on the 1500; he set his lifetime PR of 3:57.14 in his last race in the Gonzaga jersey at the 2013 West Coast Invitational in Salem, OR…set his 8k XC PR of 25:48 as a redshirt sophomore at 2011 the Inland Northwest Cross Country Classic held at Spokane Falls Community College
High School- Graduated from Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek, WA…earning four letters in both cross country and track…placed 9th at the 2009 WIAA 4A State Cross County Championships running his PR of 16:00 to help his team place 2nd overall…1 time Nike BorderClash qualifier…as a junior placed 33rd at the 2008 WIAA State Cross Country Championships to help the team place 5th…on the track he finished 7th in the 3200 and 12th in the 1600 at the 2010 WIAA 4A State Track and Field Championships running his PR of 9:16.17 in the 3200 meters and 4:21.59 in the 1600 meters…as a junior he placed 9th at the 2009 WIAA 4A State Track and Field Championships in the 3200 meters running a season best of 9:24.08…as a junior he also ran his lifetime PR of 4:20.20 in the 1600 meters at the District 1 4A Championships…personal bests of 4:20 (1600) and 9:16 (3200)
