FRESHMAN (2014-15): After battling an injury early in the 2014-15 season, Smith played in Nebraska's final 17 games ... In 18 total games as a freshman, she averaged 1.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 10.8 minutes per game ... Smith missed Nebraska's first five games as a true freshman with a stress fracture in her foot before making her lone appearance of the non-conference season against Northern Colorado Nov. 30 ... However, the pain returned and Smith missed the next six weeks before playing nine minutes against Penn State on Jan. 15 ... Smith made her first collegiate career start at No. 21 Rutgers on Feb. 5 ... Three days later, she recorded career-highs of seven points and seven rebounds in a career-high 24 minutes off the bench at No. 5 Maryland ... She closed the season with four points, four rebounds and two blocks against Syracuse in the first round of the 2015 NCAA Tournament ... She played 21 minutes against the Orange - her second-highest total of the season.
HIGH SCHOOL: Coming out of high school, Smith considered Baylor, Gonzaga, Arizona State, Oregon State, and Nebraska ... In the class of 2014, she was a four-star recruit ranked as the No. 18 wing in the country and No. 62 player overall in the ESPN HoopGurlz Top 100 ... The Dan Olson Collegiate Girls Basketball Report ranked her 14th in the nation by position ... Smith was named the Washington Class 1A Player of the Year in both 2013 and 2014, while capturing First Team All-State honors for the third consecutive season ... Smith powered Brewster to a WIAA Class 1A state championship as a junior in 2013 ... She scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds in the Bears' 72-46 victory over Castle Rock in the state title game in Yakima on March 2 ... Smith hit four three-pointers and had 22 points in the first half alone to fuel the championship game victory ... The Bears finished with a 26-1 record under coach Roger Boesel ... Smith was also a Class 1A Sportsmanship Award winner at the state tournament ... Smith averaged 21.3 points, 9.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 4.2 steals per game as a junior ... Smith, who was a four-year varsity starter, erupted for 35 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks as a sophomore in the 2012 Class 2B championship game against Reardan ... Brewster fell by a narrow margin in the title game ... As a freshman in 2010-11, Smith averaged 16.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 5.7 steals and 1.5 blocked shots in 23 games for Brewster.
