Mitchell, a Coeur d’Alene native, will join Wenger’s staff in 2025 after an impressive five-year career at Grand Canyon where she was a three-time Western Athletic Conference Setter of the Year. Across those five seasons from 2019-2023, Mitchell earned four First Team All-WAC honors, one Second Team All-WAC honor, and was the 2019 WAC Freshman of the Year.
While at GCU, Mitchell set and broke numerous program Division-I records for the Lopes, most notably becoming the all-time D1-era assist leader with 4,582 while setting the all-time single-season school record of 1,148 assists in 2023.
A 2019 graduate of Lake City High School, Mitchell returned to the Pacific Northwest in 2024, serving as an assistant coach for the Renovators Volleyball Club in Spokane. She will remain close to home as she begins her time on the GU coaching staff.
