Women's Tennis Falls to Cal State Fullerton 6-1

FULLERTON, Calif. - The Cal State Fullerton University women's tennis team won eight of the nine matches on the afternoon to post a 6-1 victory over the Gonzaga University Bulldogs in a non-conference women's tennis match Tuesday afternoon at the Titan Courts.

Fullerton snapped a six-match losing streak dating back to Feb. 7 against UC Santa Barbara and improved to 3-7 overall on the season. Gonzaga fell to 3-9 overall on the year.

The Titans swept all three doubles matches by a combined score of 24-10 to take a 1-0 lead. Cal State Fullerton then took five of six singles matches with the Bulldogs' Katie Rock winning at No. 4 singles, defeating the Titans' Brittany Minna, 6-0, 5-7, 10-8. All five of Fullerton's victories in singles were in straight sets.

Gonzaga continues its week-long California swing Wednesday agsint UC-Riverside at 2 p.m.
