Johnsen Struggles On Second Day Of Oregon Stroke Play

EUGENE, OR - Gonzaga University incoming freshman Travis Johnsen of Wilsonville skied to an 80 during the second round of the 57th Oregon Stroke Play Championship Saturday.

Johnsen, tied for second following Friday's opening round of the 54-hole event, had just one birdie over the 7,138-yard, par 72 Emerald Valley Golf Club. He had seven bogeys and a double bogey. His 36-hole total of 149 has him tied for 16th heading into Sunday's final round.

Defending champion Andrew Vijarro of Bend and Paul Peterson of Corvallis are atop the leaderboard at 140. Vijarro shot a second-round 72 while Peterson had a 7-under 65 Saturday.
