What's the biggest tip you would give to young aspiring volleyball players out there?
Always keep an open mind. Throughout your volleyball career you are going to go through multiple coaches, teammates, and maybe even positions. Throughout these transitions it is extremely important to keep an open mind so that you can take in as much information as possible and apply it to your game. Never stop learning.

How/when did you start playing volleyball?
I started playing volleyball the summer going into 7th grade. There was a volleyball clinic going on at my Junior High and my dad signed me up without me knowing. I was furious. I had always been a basketball player and had never even touched a volleyball. Walking into the gym I felt so uncomfortable and immediately wanted to change my spandex for basketball shorts. Once we started playing, I fell in love. I felt so comfortable, like I had been playing the game for years. Ever since that day, volleyball has consumed my life and I wouldn't want it any other way.

What are your goals for the season?
WCC Champs and making the NCAA Tournament.

If you had a day off from volleyball, what would you do?
Lay in my bed and watch How I Met Your Mother.

What made you choose Gonzaga?
I grew up only two hours away from Spokane so I have always been really familiar with Gonzaga and playing volleyball here was always something I was interested in. When I came on my official visit, I knew this was it. I had this feeling in my gut that this was the perfect place for me. I come from a small town so the small school, class size, and community fit me like a glove.

What is your favorite athletic memory at Gonzaga?
Beating Wyoming in 5, on their home court, with everyone in their town watching. It was AWESOME!

What would be your dream job?
To play professional volleyball. After that, I'm not quite sure but I want to be in a profession that involves volleyball or some type of other sport.

What is your favorite thing about Spokane?
My favorite thing about Spokane is that it's just like home but bigger. You get the best of both worlds. You have the city life and a quick 20-30 minute drive and you're out in the country.

Favorite sport (other than volleyball)
Basketball

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
To jam the guitar!
