Bulldogs Finish Seventh At BYU At Entrada Classic

BYU at Entrada Classic Day Two Get Acrobat Reader

SAINT GEORGE, Utah - The Gonzaga women's golf team completed their final round at the BYU at Entrada Classic Tuesday at Entrada at Snow Canyon in Saint George, Utah. The Zags were +19 on the final day, finishing at +53 and moving up a spot in the leaderboard to seventh.

Bianca Pagdanganan led the Zags in the final round, shooting a +2, 74. She opened the day with a birdie on number one, but picked up three bogeys and no birdies on her final 17 holes. She finished in 12th place six-over par for the tournament. She dominated the par-fives on the week, going three-under on them, third-best in the tournament.

Ciera Min finished tied for 23rd with a final day 76, that included two birdies through the first 11 holes that had her one-under for the day. She finished the last three holes +5 however and ended up +12 in the tournament. Jessica Mangrobang shot an 81 today to finish tied for 31st. She had two birdies but struggled on the back nine going +7 through those holes and was +16 for the event. Nina Novilla finished 39th with a 76 today, birdieing number eight to finish +19, and Jena Gao fired a final-round 83 with birdies on six and seven to finish in 61st at +31.

Diana Araneta shot an 82 today with two birdies on her front nine. Playing as an individual, she finished 64th at +39.

"We are not fully satisfied with the results of this event," Gonzaga head coach Brad Rickel said. "We will continue to work hard and get better. We look forward to playing another event in two days."

Kent State ran away with first place, downing second-place BYU by 13 strokes and shooting +2. Karoline Stormo (-4) won the individual title by four strokes. The Zags were able to beat WCC rival San Francisco, who finished ninth.

The Bulldogs take one day off, but stay in Saint George, teeing off at the Pizza Hut Thunderbird Invitational on Thursday.
