MAUI, Hawaii - The Gonzaga Bulldogs fell two spots from their eighth place finish from yesterday, shooting a 311 today to end up +39 heading into the final round tomorrow of the Anuenue Spring Break Classic on The Bay Course at Kapalua on the island of Maui in Hawaii.

Bianca Pagdanganan led the Zags in the second round with a +4, 76, to sit +7 in the event in a tie for 23rd. She went even on the front on Tuesday with a birdie on number six, but was +4 on the back with no red scores. Ciera Min shot a +5, 77, on Tuesday and is tied with Pagdanganan with a total score of 151. She battled back three bogeys on the front with birdies on six and seven, but was +5 on the back with no red scores.

Nina Novilla was the first Zag to finish on Tuesday with a six-over, 78, to put her at +16 for the tournament and in a tie for 62nd place. On Tuesday, she was four-over through the first five holes, but birdied the par-five sixth. She recovered from four-straight bogeys to open the back nine with a birdie on the par-four 14th. Diana Araneta shot a second-round 80 and is +15 in the event in a tie for 59th place. The highlight of her round was her second eagle in as many days on the par-five 15th, after draining her first collegiate eagle yesterday on the same hole. Jessica Mangrobang is tied with Novilla in 62nd after shooting an 84 on Tuesday. Jena Gao shot an 80 on Tuesday and is +21 in a tie for 79th in the event.

The Bulldogs continue to lead the tournament in eagles, with three of the total seven in the event so far. The Zags are -3 on the par-five holes, eighth best in the field.

"I am disappointed in our energy today," Gonzaga head coach Brad Rickel said. "We looked tired and didn't bring the passion necessary to compete with these teams. Tomorrow we will need to be better in every way."

UCLA is the leader at -4 and Lilia Vu of the Bruins is running away sitting at -11, up nine strokes on second place.

The Zags are back at it tomorrow for another 10:45 am shotgun start in the three-day event. Live scoring is available at GoZags.com.
