THE TIP-OFF:
- Gonzaga and Baylor meet for the fifth time on Saturday in the second round of the 2019 NCAA Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah, at 4:10 p.m. Pacific. The Zags have won all four previous meetings with the Bears.
- GU is making its 21st consecutive NCAA Tournament Appearance and 22nd overall. The 21 straight berths to the field is the fourth-longest current streak in the nation (Kansas, Duke, Michigan State).
- The Zags are 32-21 all-time in 21 previous NCAA Tournament appearances with nine trips to the Sweet 16, three trips to the Elite Eight, one Final Four and an appearance in one national championship game.
- GU is 29-19 in the NCAA Tournament under head coach

- The Bulldogs received a one-seed for the third time in program history. Gonzaga has been in Salt Lake City in each of those three occasions.

SERIES NOTES:
- This is the fifth all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Baylor. The Zags have won all four of the previous meetings against BU, with three under
Mark Few.
- This will be the fourth meeting on a neutral court.
- In the latest meeting between the programs, GU knocked off the Bears, 94-87, in Spokane on Dec. 28, 2013.
- The Bulldogs are 19-8 against current Big 12 members.
- Gonzaga won its latest meeting with a member from the Big 12, 76-71, beating Texas in overtime in the PK80 Invitational third-place game in Portland, Ore.

SCOUTING THE BEARS:Â
- Baylor beat Syracuse in Thursday's First Round, 78-69.
- The Bears made 16 of their 34 three-point attempts, including 10 in the first half.
- Makai Mason made four three-pointers and led Baylor with 22 points. Jared Butler and Mario Kegler added 14 and 13 points, while King McClure dished out five of the Bears' 20 assists.
- Baylor finished the game shooting 53.8 percent from the field, Syracuse was 41.2 percent.
- Mason averages a team-best 14.9 points per game, while Kegler and Butler chip in 10.7 and 10.2 points per outing.
