GU Cross Country and Track Signs Lyne

Zags welcome Camas native in 2019-20

SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga men's cross country and track head coach Pat Tyson announced the signing of Jackson Lyne Tuesday.
 
"Jackson has great potential as a long distance runner for the Zags," Tyson said. "He is a great student, with great family values. Our team is thrilled to have Jackson wear the Gonzaga jersey!"

At Camas, Lyne was named a two-time All-Region selection in cross country, and three-time GSHL First Team. He ran his 5K personal best at the Hole in the Wall Invitational at 15:22. In his senior season on the track, his personal bests in the 3,200 meters and the 1,500 meters were 9:22 and 4:02.
 
"I chose Gonzaga because it is a perfect fit to strengthen myself academically and athletically," Lyne said. "The team and coach are people that strive to help each other become the best versions of themselves. I am very excited for the opportunity to join such an amazing team and represent the Zag Nation."
