SCOUTING THE BRONCOS:
- Santa Clara is coming off of a 65-52 win at San Diego Saturday. Josip Vrankic scored 20 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Jalen Williams added 11 points for SCU. The Broncos held USD to 30 percent shooting from the field.
- Santa Clara's 16-4 start was the best since 1994-95 when the mark was the same. The 14-2 start was the best since opening a school-record 21-0 in 1968-69 on the way to a 27-2 mark and a trip to the NCAAs. The Broncos won at least 14 of 16 to begin a season for only fourth time in school history.
- Four Broncos average double-digit scoring, led by Trey Wertz's 12.8 points per game. He has a team-high 81 assists.
- Guglielmo Caruso and DJ Mitchell lead SCU grabbing 5.5 rebounds per outing. Caruso adds 11.6 points per game, while Mitchell scores 10.1 points. Vrankic averages 12.2 points.
