THE TIP OFF:
- Gonzaga and Pepperdine meet for the 89th time on Saturday in the McCarthey Athletic Center, at 7 p.m. The Zags have a 57-31 advantage in the series.
- The Bulldogs are 29-12 in the meetings in Spokane, including a 21-game winning streak.
- GU has won 37 straight versus the Waves, with the last Pepperdine victory in the series coming on Jan. 18, 2002, 88-79, in Malibu.
- The Bulldogs are 41-2 against the Waves under Few.
- In the latest matchup, GU cruised to a 100-74 win in the 2019 WCC Tournament semifinals.
- The Bulldogs are coming off of an 85-72 road win at Portland to open conference play Thursday. Five Zags finished in double-digits led by Killian Tillie's season-high 22 points.
- GU returned to the top of both major Top-25 polls for the fifth time in program history. The Zags have climbed to nation's top spot in four of the last eight seasons.
- According to KenPom.com, Gonzaga has the best adjusted offensive efficiency in the country.
- The Zags are the lone team in the nation to have six players averaging double-digit scoring per game, with a seventh player at 9.5 points per outing.
- GU's 31 straight wins at home is the longest active streak in the nation, and fourth longest in program history.
- The Bulldogs' 12 consecutive true road wins is currently the longest active streak in the country.
- GU is first in the nation in scoring offense (88.3), second in scoring margin (19.8), third in total rebounds (658) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.68).

- This is the 89th all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Pepperdine.

- Gonzaga won the first-ever meeting, 93-70, in the Knights
of Columbus Tournament in Portland, on Dec. 11, 1964.
 
SCOUTING THE WAVES:
- Pepperdine fell in its West Coast Conference opener at home to Pacific Thursday, 59-56. Colbey Ross led the Waves with 15 points and four assists. Kameron and Kessler Edwards added 13 and 12 points. Pepperdine was held to 26.8 percent shooting from the field (15-of-56).
- Ross averages a team-best 19.5 points per game, and is eighth in the nation dishing out 7.2 assists per outing. Kameron (16.7) and Kessler (15.3) Edwards are also averaging double-digit scoring. Kessler averages 8.1 rebounds.
 
A ZAG WIN WOULD ...
- Make Gonzaga 145-17 in January games under Mark Few.
- Be the 12th straight victory in the month of January.
- Extend GU's home win streak to 32, currently the longest in the nation.
- Extend the Bulldogs' conference regular season win streak to 29 victories.
