ITA Awards

TEMPE, Ariz. — The Gonzaga women's tennis team earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Community Service Award Honorable Mention for the Northwest Region, ITA officials announced Monday.

The GU women put in 263.5 hours of community outreach over the course of the year at 10 different agencies. The outreach included volunteering at events, collecting materials for donation and elementary school and hospital visits, among other outreach.

"We are so proud of the work our team did off the court, it's such a big part of who Gonzaga is," women's head coach DJ Gurule said. "It's been awesome to see this team really strive to make a difference in the community."
