SPOKANE, Wash.- The Gonzaga women's tennis team defeated Montana State 6-1 Saturday evening inside the Stevens Center for its fourth-straight win of the season and a perfect 4-0 record.

Gonzaga (4-0) opened the match with a 3-0 sweep in doubles play to take the early 1-0 match lead.
Haruna Tsuruta and
Kianna Oda opened play with a clean sweep 6-0 on court three. Shortly after, Adrianna Sosnowksa and
Hannah Jones won 6-1 against Montana State's Ennie Zander and Mirte Van Baelen. With the doubles point already secured,
Cate Broerman and
Kate Ketels played out their match at No. 1 doubles for the 6-3 win.

In singles play, Sosnowska was first Zag to secure a win with a final score of 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Broerman finished just seconds after on court three, winning 6-0, 6-1 against the Bobcats' Jazmin Lerman.
Jenna Sloan secured the 4-0 match win for the Zags with a quick 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles.Â

Gonzaga played out the match on the remaining courts as Tsuruta claimed a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles while Ketels finished followed with a 6-4, 7-5 victory over MSU's Laura Mary at No.1 singles. At No. 6,
Hannah Jones came back from losing the first set 1-6 with a 7-5 win in the second but fell in the third set 6-4.

"It was great to get back on the court," Head Coach
D.J. Gurule said. "I was happy with how we competed after the long layoff. We've got a tough one against us tomorrow against Washington State, but we'll be ready."
