Washington State (13-11) opened the match with a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles, but Gonzaga's
Hannah Jones and
Adrianna Sosnowska rallied for a 6-2 match at No. 1 doubles to force the third-match doubles tiebreaker. The Cougars' Pang Jittakoat and Fifa Kumhom bested GU's
Kianna Oda and
Cate Broerman 6-4 to take the doubles point and the early lead.
In singles play, Washington State claimed early wins at No. 6, No. 2 and No. 1 to take the 4-0 match win. Gonzaga's
Cate Broerman was leading WSU's Kumhom 6-3, 3-1 when the match went unfinished.
