PALO ALTO, Calif. -- Earlier this afternoon, the Gonzaga women's tennis team performed for the third consecutive day at the ITA Regionals. The ITA Regionals are currently scheduled to run through Tuesday, October 18th.

Opening up the doubles Main Draw Round of 16, Gonzaga's Adrianna Sosnowska and Cate Broerman battled, but lost their match against Stanford's Sara Choy and Valencia Xu by a score of 8-6. This is the second consecutive year that Broerman and Sosnowska have made the Round of 16 of the doubles Main Draw.

Having lost in the Round of 32 of the doubles Main Draw, Gonzaga's Kianna Oda and Tiegan Aitken looked to bounce back with a solid showing in the Consolation doubles competition. Facing Portland's Aleksandra Dimitrijevic and Alaia Rubio Perez, Oda and Aitken earned a dominant 8-2 victory.

In the Consolation singles competition, four Zags looked to advance to the Round of 32. To start, Gonzaga's Jenna Sloan faced Washington State's Yura Nakagawa in the first singles match of the day for the Zags, and lost 6-4, 6-2 in straight sets. Shortly after, Sosnowska clinched a 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 victory over Washington State's Elyse Tse.

Gonzaga came out victorious in the final two Consolation singles matches of the day. Facing San Jose State's Jovana Babic, Oda earned a 2-6, 7-6, 12-10 win in resilient fashion. Finally, Tiegan Aitken claimed a dominant 6-2, 6-4 win over Cal Poly's Delanie Dunkle to close out today's action for the Zags.
