THE TIP OFF
- Gonzaga is at Santa Clara for a West Coast Conference game Saturday at 7 p.m.
- The Zags have won 33 straight games in the month of January, dating back to a 74-71 setback to Saint Mary's on Jan. 18, 2018. GU has also won 90 consecutive games over unranked opponents.
- Gonzaga is coming off a 77-75 dramatic road win at San Francisco Thursday. The Zags led for only 99 seconds, but a Rasir Bolton put-back with seven seconds remaining gave GU the win. Bolton finished with 21 points, making 5-of-7 from behind-the-arc. Julian Strawther and Anton Watson added 16 and 14 points.
- Drew Timme passed Adam Morrison on Gonzaga's all-time career scoring list in the win at San Francisco. Timme has 1,872 points over his four seasons in a Bulldog uniform. Jim McPhee ranks second at 2,015 points.
- The Zags own the country's longest home win streak with 74 consecutive victories inside the McCarthey Athletic Center. Texas Tech is the next closest with 29 straight home wins.
- Gonzaga's 74 straight home wins are the most in the modern era of Div. 1 (Since 1985). Arizona had 71 consecutive victories from 1987-1992. The Bulldogs' last loss at home was to Saint Mary's on Jan. 18, 2018.
- Gonzaga leads the country shooting 52.2 percent from the field. The Bulldogs are sixth in NCAA Div. 1 averaging 86.2 points per game. Drew Timme ranks second in the nation with 140 made field goals and third with 351 points. His 21.9 points per game rank seventh in the nation. He is 17th in the country shooting 62.5 percent from the field. He is fifth in the WCC averaging 8.1 rebounds. Julian Strawther's 7.4 rebounds per game are seventh.
 
SCOUTING THE DONS
- Santa Clara is coming off an 89-79 win at Pepperdine Thursday. Brandin Podziemski finished with a game-high 27 points and pulled down 10 rebounds while also dishing out six assists. Parker Braun scored 16 points, while Carlos Stewart came away with 14 points. Jaden Bediako finished with nine points and nine rebounds.
- Podziemski, a sophomore transfer from Illinois, has seven double-doubles this season and averages 18.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.2 steals per game, which are all team-highs for the Broncos.
- Carlos Stewart and Keshawn Justice chip in 14.8 and 12.0 points per outing. Parker Braun grabs 6.3 rebounds per game.
- The Broncos have won six of their last seven games with victories over Cal and Boise State at home. SCU is 10-2 inside the Leavey Center this season.

- This is the 99th all-time meeting between Gonzaga and Santa Clara. GU owns a 68-30 advantage in the series.
- GU has won 47 of the last 49 meetings against the Broncos, including the last 24 straight matchups.
- Santa Clara's last win in the series was an 85-71 home victory on Jan. 20, 2011.
- The Bulldogs are 44-4 against SCU under Mark Few.
- In the latest meeting, Drew Timme had 23 points and nine rebounds and Gonzaga won its 10th straight West Coast Conference regular-season title, with an 81-69 win in Spokane on Feb. 19. Rasir Bolton contributed 18 points.

BIG SHOT RAH IN THE BAY
- Gonzaga led for a total of 99 seconds in the 77-75 win at San Francisco. Julian Strawther opened the game with a three, but until Rasir Bolton's put-back with seven seconds left, the Zags did not lead until the 3-2 start of the game. GU trailed for 35 minutes and 26 seconds in the victory.
- Bolton finished with 21 points, but scored 11 of the Bulldogs' final 15 points over the last 5:15. He hit three straight shots from behind-the-arc during the final stretch.
