THE TIPOFF
- The Gonzaga women's basketball team travels to the Betty Chancellor Classic this week to play Liberty, Alabama and No. 20 Louisville. The tournament takes place Nov. 24-26 in Katy, Texas, just outside of Houston, at the Merrell Center.

Kayleigh Truong scored a team-high 18 points and also dished out six assists.
Yvonne Ejim was right behind her with 17 points as she recorded her 11th career double double with 10 rebounds as well.

Kaylynne Truong were named to the preseason watch list for the 2024 Becky Hammon Player of the Year Award. Gonzaga is the only team with multiple players on the watch list and becomes the first team to ever place three players on a single list.

Lisa Fortier was recently named to the 2024 Kathy Delaney-Smith Coach of the Year Award preseason watch list. This year's watch list includes coaches from 16 conferences.
- The Bulldogs were picked to win the West Coast Conference. The Zags received eight first-place votes that and totaled 64 points in the poll.
- Gonzaga has amassed a conference record of 274-34 (.889) during the last 18 seasons, which includes 17 West Coast Conference regular-seaason titles and nine WCC Tournament championships.

SERIES INFO (LOUISVILLE): The Zags and the Cardinals have played four times in program history. This marks the third year in a row that the two teams have met. The series is tied at 2-2.
STREAK: Gonzaga - 1
FIRST MEETING: Gonzaga defeated the No. 7-Seeded Louisville in 2011 at the NCAA Regional Semifinal in Spokane.
LAST MEETING: The Zags beat No. 6 Louisville last year at the Battle for Atlantis in overtime, 79-67. The win marked the highest ranked win in program history for Gonzaga.
SCOUTING THE FLAMES
- Preseason All-CUSA selection Emma Hess leads the Lady Flames in scoring through four games with 13.0 ppg. She has knocked down a team-high 10 triples at a 43.5 percent clip. Hess, who has tallied 102 career three-pointers, needs three more to move into 10th place on Liberty's all-time list.
- The Lady Flames are squaring off with a West Coast Conference foe for the first time in program history and are playing their second of nine games this season against a 2023 NCAA Tournament qualifier.
SCOUTING THE TIDE
- The Crimson Tide (5-0) head into the weekend, fresh off its first road victory of the season, where they defeated the Little Rock Trojans, 63-39
- UA has kept all of its opponents under 50 points per game (42.6) this season
- Alabama has held opponents to single digit points in at least one quarter per game, including holding Winthrop and Morehead State to five points, both in the second quarter
- Sarah Ashlee Barker leads Alabama in scoring averaging 18.4 points per game, with two others, Aaliyah Nye (11.8 PPG) and Jessica Timmons (11.6 PPG) also averaging double-figures.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
- The Cardinals are 4-0 heading down to Texas for the Chancellor Classic after a 2-0 week with home wins over Bellarmine (111-33) and Bucknell (77-44). In the most recent win over Bucknell, the Cardinals were paced by Sydney Taylor and her season-high 17 points in the win. With her first bucket of the game, she eclipsed the 1,500-point mark for her career.
- The Cardinals had 10 different players score in the win over Bucknell. It is the third game this season 10 players or more have scored for the Cardinals. Last season, it only happened four times and the Cards were 4-0 in those games. The Cardinals have had at least nine players score in every game this season.
