EUGENE, Ore. – Gonzaga men's golf placed 12th in the Oregon Duck Invitational at the Eugene Country Club Tuesday.
Leading the Bulldogs, Jace Minni tied for 22nd place at eight-over (221). He carded a 75 (+4) in his first round, before finishing his final rounds at 77 (+6) and 69 (-2). Minni made 33 pars and eight birdies across the tournament. On the course's Par-3 holes, he was even (3.00).
As a team, the Zags finished the Oregon Duck Invitational in 12th place at 56-over (908). They shot a 297 in their last round, their lowest of the tournament. Gonzaga was nine-over (3.16) on the course's Par-3 holes, which ranked second-best across the 14 teams.
Zach Stocker tied for 33rd place at 11-over (224). He finished the tournament with 29 pars and eight birdies. Guillermo Polo Bodart tied for 72nd at 22-over (235) and Ethan Flynn placed 75th at 23-over (236). Clayton Thatcher tied for 83rd.
Oregon State's Mateo Fuenmayor and Oregon's Nate Stember took home co-medalist honors at six-under (207). Oregon took the team title at two-under (850), holding off Oregon State at five-over (857).
Gonzaga is set to travel to University Place, Wash., to play at the Redhawk Invitational (hosted by Seattle University) April 3-4.
