SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga men's rowing team continued its fall slate on Saturday with a home regatta at the Head of the Spokane, finishing with a first-place boat in all four heats.

Head coach Dan Gehn said he was "very pleased with the racing today" at the Spokane River.

The Varsity 8 topped the opening flight with a time of 15:00, ahead of WSU's V8 boat (15:11). Also in the first heat was the 2V8 boat (15:24), which finished before its WSU counterpart (15:53).

In the novice flight, Gonzaga's boat (17:02) was nearly a minute quicker than WSU's (18:01). The Varsity 4 and 3V8 boats each won their respective heats by over 30 seconds.

Up next: The Bulldogs will conclude the fall schedule on Sat. Oct. 26. "We look forward to the Head of the American next weekend in Sacramento," head coach Dan Gehn said.
