Box Score SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The Gonzaga women's tennis team had an away conference match against the University of San Francisco earlier today. Entering today's match, the Zags had won five of the previous six matches against the Dons, a streak dating back to the 2017 season.
 
Starting with the doubles competition, Gonzaga's Kianna Oda and Tiegan Aitken claimed a 6-4 court one win over San Francisco's Alicia Yue and Erin Richardson. In the No.2 spot, Gonzaga's Emily Robertson and Ella Nielsen also earned an impressive 6-1 victory against San Francisco's Katerina Filip and Azaria Hayes.
 
With the Bulldogs already having clinched the doubles point, the court three doubles match between Gonzaga's Brooke Bittner and Lia Espinal and San Francisco's Julia Visaya and Qianer Qiu went unfinished, ending with a score of 5-3.
 
Moving to the singles matches, Gonzaga immediately picked up another team point when Caroline Wernli won her match by default on court six. Oda also earned an excellent 6-3, 6-2 court two win against Yue. In the No.4 spot, Aitken shined, defeating Qui by a score of 6-4, 6-2.
 
With the team victory already clinched, the three remaining singles matches were left unfinished.
 
Up Next: Following today's win, the Gonzaga women's tennis team will conclude their regular season on Saturday, April 20th, when they are scheduled to face Santa Clara at noon.
