SPOKANE, Wash. – Gonzaga women's tennis wrapped up the final day of the Gonzaga Invite with another strong showing, highlighted by freshman
Emily Robertson capturing the singles title on Sunday.
Robertson completed her impressive weekend with a 6-3, 6-3 win in the championship match to claim the singles bracket crown. In consolation play, Diana Yanovskaya picked up a solid 6-4, 6-1 victory in the semifinals, while Madeline MacNeille battled before falling 7-6 (5), 6-3 in her semifinal matchup.
In doubles action, Robertson and
Ella Nielsen advanced to the finals before coming up short 6-2 to close out tournament play.
Roberston and Nielsen will play next at the ITA Sectional Championships in Seattle, Wash., beginning on Nov. 6.
