SAN BRUNO, Calif. – Gonzaga baseball's
Josh Hankins was named Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. The Bulldogs completed a three-game sweep of Pacific and are 5-1 to open WCC play.

In four games last week, Hankins batted 10-for-16 (.625) with six runs, three RBI, three doubles, a home run and two stolen bases, compiling a 1.632 OPS. In last Tuesday's win over Washington State, Hankins went 4-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI. In Friday's 8-1 win over Pacific, he finished 2-for-2 and notched his first home run of the season. The following day, he added to his weekly stat sheet with a 3-for-5 performance. In the series finale, Hankins extended his hit streak to eight games, adding two runs as the Bulldogs completed the sweep over the Tigers.
