Men's Tennis Defeats Washington For First Time in Program History, 4-3

The Zags play at home on Saturday

Gonzaga men's tennis made the trek over to Seattle to play at the University of Washington. In the first time in program history that the Bulldog men's tennis team claimed the achievement over the Huskies, in a 4-3 victory.

In doubles, the duo of Oscar Rashed and Nicholas Reeves from Gonzaga battled against the Huskies, Stephane Kamendje and Nikola Plavsic taking the set 6-4. More from doubles action, Gus Krauel and Diego Herrera took home another set for the Zags, 6-4.

Steering into singles, junior Oscar Rashed showcased an outstanding performance against UW's Brett Pearson, 6-3 and 2-6, before taking the last set 6-4. Nicholas Reeves persevered through two sets, winning 7-6 and 6-2. Lastly, from singles action, sophomore Diego Herrera was pitted against Nikola Plavsic from the Huskies, 6-4 and 6-4.

Fans can catch the men's team for their first home opener of the season at the Stevens Center this upcoming Saturday, February 14th, at 3 pm against Weber State.
