Men's Tennis Wraps Up Season at Saint Mary's

The Zags conclude the spring season

Box Score The Gonzaga men's tennis team closed out another season against Saint Mary's. Unfortunately, the Zags dropped a hard-fought matchup on the road, 4-0.

Returning in doubles is the dynamic duo of Jay Fairclough and Giovanni Branchetti, who took on Gael's duo, Thibaud Maxant and Finn Dyer; the Zags duo fell short 6-2. Oscar Rashed and Nicholas Reeves couldn't find the control they both needed on court two, ultimately falling short 6-2.

Although there was a competitive showing, the Bulldogs couldn't secure the wins they needed in singles. Oscar Rashed was pitted against Thibaud Maxant. Rashed fell short in the first set 6-3; however, he kept the second set neck and neck, but couldn't secure it, 7-5. On court two, Jay Fairclough battled through two sets against the Gaels, but the Gaels took the win away from the Zags, 6-0 and 6-1. After a back-and-forth singles clash, Nicholas Reeves was close to taking the first set, but he came up short 6-4, before falling short in the second 6-1.

The match concludes the spring season for Gonzaga.
