Eugene, Ore.- Rosina Machu concluded an iconic collegiate running career with another All-American honor on Saturday, being named an honorable mention after finishing 21st in the 5k.
Machu ran a time of 15:59.25 to secure her spot as an All-American in her final collegiate race. Machu is the program record holder in the 5,000 meters and the 10,000 meters for Gonzaga, distances in which she won All-American honors as a finalist in the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship this year.
Machu ends her Gonzaga career as a five time All-American, receiving four honors in track (three in the 10k, and today's 5k) and a Cross Country All-American honor. She holds six program record times at GU, setting program bests in the Cross Country 6k, the Indoor Track 3k and 6k, and the Outdoor Track 1,500 meters, 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters. She holds the most All-American honors of any woman to ever run for the Zags.
