- Appeared in 13 games with nine starts... batted .342 until an injury sidelined him for the remainder of the season... picked up 13 hits, three runs batted in and six runs scored.
Prior to Gonzaga
- A four-year letterman at Durango High School, Mestas earned four First Team All-Conference nods and three First Team All-State honors. In 2019, Mestas was the Underclassmen Player of the Year and in 2021 the Southwest League Player of the Year.
- A multisport athlete in football, Mestas also lettered four times at Durango and was named a team captain for three of those years. Durango was the 2020 3A State Champions, as Mestas earned State Championship MVP and First Team All-State that season. He earned three First Team All-Conference honors as well.
- During his time at Durango, Mestas was the recipient of the Tom Halley/Pat Tabor award, one of Durango's high athletic awards. He also earned Colorado Dugout Club All-State and was inducted into the Durango High School Hall of Fame in 2022. He was the 2022 Male Athlete of the Year and was on the Academic Honor Roll all four years.
- At Pima Community College, Mestas was Second Team All-Arizona Community College Athletic Conference in 2022 and First Team All-ACCAC in 2023. Additionally in 2023, he earned First Team All-Region and Third Team All-NJCAA Academic Team before graduating with an Associates Degree.
