2019: Appeared in 19 games for the Zags...pitched 20.1 innings with 9 strike outs and a 3.92 ERA...finished the season with a 1-0 record and 2 saves...named All-WCC academic honorable mention.
2018: Saw action in seven games...pitched 12.1 innings and recorded eight strikeouts…posted a 4.38 ERA on the year.
2017: Redshirted true sophomore season at Gonzaga...did not play.
2016: Made four appearances as a freshman, pitching 2.0 innings with a 13.50 ERA...made collegiate debut in season opener Feb. 19 at Grand Canyon...also pitched a third of an inning Feb. 26 against Texas Southern, allowing just one hit...tossed 0.1 innings March 13 at UTSA...set career highs with an inning pitched and two strikeouts in scoreless outing April 8 against Portland.
Bainbridge High School: Played baseball all four years for the Spartans…pitched and also played in the outfield…led squad to a fourth-place finish in state tournament, tossing complete game shutout against Lynwood to reach the semifinals…posted a 6-1 record, 1.59 ERA, and 58 strikeouts as a senior…First Team All-Division, First Team All-League…also three-year captain and starter for Bainbridge HS basketball team…served as ASB vice president as a senior.
Club Experience: Played club ball for Boys of Summer out of Bellevue, Wash….threw complete game shutout against Rock Creek Baseball Club in Seattle Premier League Championship.
Personal: Full name Trenton Schulte, but goes by Trent…parents are Shayna and Aaron Schulte…has two sisters named Brooke and Tessa and a brother named Ethan…majoring in business and wants to own a business after graduation…chose Gonzaga because it was a perfect fit due to “its size and its focus on setting students up for success after college. People who work for Gonzaga truly care about each individual at the school. I’ve found that Gonzaga is the perfect balance of academics and athletics for me.”…was a class council member and ASB officer in high school.
