JUNIOR (2022-23): Saw action and started every game this season for the Zags…Set career-highs in every major statistical category this year…Averaged 30.6 minutes per game and played 1,041 total minutes this season, which were the second-most for Gonzaga and career-highs…Was third on the team in total rebounds, with 129, and second on the team in assists, with 76, this year…Improved her three point percentage by 11.1 percent while attempting 54 more three pointers this season than last year… Scored a career-high 258 points this season, including a career-high 19 points against Pacific on 57.1% shooting from the field and 60% shooting from three.
SOPHOMORE (2021-22): Game-by-game statistics...Logging 436 total minutes this season, McKayla appeared in every game for the Zags...In her sophomore year, McKayla increased her points, assists, rebounds, steals, and blocks per game averages from last season...Scored a career-high six points on three separate occasions this season... Finished the season shooting 88.9% from the charity stripe on the year.
FRESHMAN (2020-21): Game-by-game statistics...Saw action in 20 games on the season…averaged 4.0 minutes per game…scored seven points on the season…netted her first career trey against Pepperdine on Feb. 25…grabbed a season-high four rebounds against North Alabama on Dec. 21…five steals on the year.
High School: Graduated from Windward School in May 2020…three-sport athlete in basketball, volleyball and track…ranked as the ninth-best wing and 87
th overall player of her class by ESPN…averaged 12 points, eight rebounds and four assists per game her senior season…led the Wildcats to a combined 110-19 overall record over her four years…led Windward to: a California Division I State Title, California Open Division State Title and a CIF Southern Section Open Division title in both 2018 and 2019…in 2019, helped the Wildcats to a 26-6 overall record and a No. 13 national ranking according to MaxPreps…a two-time Second Team All-CIF Southern Section and two-time All-State performer…named First Team All-Gold Coast League, First Team All-CIF Southern Section…part of the Los Angeles Times All-Star Girls Basketball Team…also played two years of volleyball…named First Team All-Gold Coast League and First Team All-CIF Southern Division…also won a Gold medal at the Junior Olympics…in track, rank the 4x4 and 4x1 for two seasons…also a stellar student, earning back-to-back honor roll distinctions in 2018 and 2019.
Personal: Daughter of Virgil Williams and Marisa Blackshire…has two brothers, Quentin and Lucas, and two sisters, Lola and Reshanda…major is undecided…chose Gonzaga because “I loved the coaching staff, winning culture and system where I can fit in.”
