SAN BRUNO, Calif. -- David Ganz and Ryan Gaske both represented the Gonzaga men's golf team on the 2017 West Coast Conference All-Academic Team the league office announced Tuesday. Ben DuBois, Angus Montgomery and Tyler Munetake were all named honorable mention Academic All-WCC.

Four student-athletes make their second straight all-academic first team including Gaske. Ganz was Academic All-Conference honorable mention last season. Montgomery makes a second straight appearance on the honorable mention list.

Gaske has appeared in all nine events this season for GU. He has a team-low 74.11 scoring average, with six rounds of under-par or even-par. He has a low round of 69 in 2016-17 at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.

Ganz has also appeared in all nine events this season for the Bulldogs. He has one top-10 finish (tied for 6th at Itani Quality Homes Collegiate) and a 74.48 scoring average, with six rounds of under-par or even-par. His low round of 67 is the lowest on team, which he achieved twice this season, at the Itani Quality Homes Collegiate and the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate.

At the conclusion of each athletic season, the WCC selects an all-academic squad for each WCC-sponsored sport. To be considered, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average, while also being a significant contributor to his team.
