SAN BRUNO, Calif. — Gonzaga men's soccer player
Joe Corner was named to the West Coast Conference All-Academic Team, while three others were named academic honorable mention by league officials on Tuesday.
Corner was joined by honorable mention honorees
Nathaniel Tolton,
Brady Henderson, and
Quinn Liebmann.
Corner, a junior from Salem, Ore., has a 3.90 grade-point average in political science and started seven games for the Zags this season. He took 11 shots throughout the season with six on goal while totaling 612 minutes played.
Henderson, a redshirt junior from Snohomish, Wash., was named to the honorable mention for the third straight year and has a 3.45 GPA in business administration. He started in six out of his 15 appearances and recorded one assist on the year, attempting four shots with three on goal.
Liebmann, a senior from Boulder, Colo., was named to the honorable mention for the second straight year with a 3.41 GPA in broadcast and electronic media. He started all 16 games this season at forward and recorded one assist on the season against Santa Clara. Liebmann took 11 shots, with four on goal.
Tolton, a redshirt senior from Burien, Wash., was named to the honorable mention for the third straight year with a 3.49 GPA in human physiology. He started in 14 out of 16 games at midfielder and scored a goal in a 2-0 win at Cal Baptist.
