Box Score BOISE, Idaho – The Gonzaga women's tennis team traveled to Idaho to face Boise State and fell 5-2 in a competitive match.
 
Opening up the doubles competition, BSU's Joana Baptista and Nicole Discenza earned a 6-3 court one victory over Gonzaga's Cate Broerman and Adrianna Sosnowska. BSU clinched the doubles point when Shauna Heffernan and Holly Stewart defeated Gonzaga's Frederikke Svarre and Jenna Sloan 6-3 on court two. Gonzaga's Tiegan Aitken and Kianna Oda's match against BSU's Ana Conde Vendrell and Pauline Ernstberger went unfinished in the No.3 spot, as BSU had already clinched the doubles competition point.
 
As the singles competition began, BSU stretched their lead as Bhakti Shah defeated Gonzaga's Caroline Wernli 6-3, 6-1 on court six. In the No.2 spot, Baptista defeated Sloan 6-4, 7-5 and extended BSU's lead to 3-0. Stewart helped clinch the match for BSU, as she earned the 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 victory over Sosnowska on court three.
 
Gonzaga earned their first team point of the match as Aitken defeated Discenza 6-1, 3-6, 7-6 on court five. In the No.4 spot, BSU earned their fifth team point of the match as Conde Vendrell defeated Oda 6-0, 2-6, 6-4. The match was completed after Broerman earned a 4-6, 7-6, 1-0 victory over Ernstberger on court one.
