
WROW: Zags Open Spring Season at PLU Invite

SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Gonzaga women's rowing team travels to the west side of the state to compete in the Pacific Luthern University Invite at American Lake.
Four other teams will be competing in the regatta, including Pacific Luthern University, Seattle University, Puget Sound and Western Washington University.
"We are excited to open our season with a quick drive across the state," head coach Andrew Derrick said. "Our full team will get two 2ks down the course to figure out where we are and what we want to focus on over the next week of Spring Training in Chula Vista and Spokane. The team has put in some great work and they are excited to race."
The first competition begins at 8:30 a.m. with the Varsity Eight race. Then the other races will stagger throughout the morning with the last one being at 11:30 a.m.
