This marks the only Big 10 competition this year for the rowing squad

CHULA VISTA, Calif. -- The Gonzaga women's rowing team is racing against the University of Minnesota while training at Chula Vista, Calif, on Wednesday, March 9.

These two teams usually do not meet with each other in the regular season, but due to both programs training in Chula Vista at the same time, the teams were able to schedule a race.

Competition includes the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, Varsity 4, and Second Varsity 4 boats. There will be four eights across in the first flight racing at 9 a.m. (Gonzaga V8 and 2V8, Minnesota V8 and 2V8) and at 9:10 a.m. Gonzaga will also race four fours across (Gonzaga V4 and 2V4, Minnesota V4 and 2V4).
