FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Gonzaga men's golf started the 2022-23 season at the Ram Masters Invitational at the Fort Collins Country Club Monday.
Gonzaga is in a tie for 11
th after the first two rounds at 23-over (583). Out of the 15 teams in the tournament, the made the second-most pars on the first day with 112.
The Bulldogs'
Zach Stocker is tied for 25
th at two-over (142). He opened the event carding a 67 (-3) in the first round. The senior made four birdies and 13 pars in Round 1.
Ethan Flynn is tied for 35
th with a two-round total of 144 (+4). In his collegiate debut, he was one-over (71) in the first round. The freshman made 24 pars on Day 1.
Jace Minni made 25 pars in the first two rounds, which was the second-most in the 84-golfer field. He is seven-over (147) entering the final round. The Delta, B.C., native, climbed 16 spots in the second round with a 71 (+1). He made two birdies and 13 pars in Round 2.
Guillermo Polo Bodart made his Gonzaga debut with a 75 (+5) in both of the first two rounds. He is tied for 65
th at 10-over (150).
Brentt Salas is tied for 75
th at 14-over (154).
Wyoming's Jaren Calkins tops the leaderboard at seven-under (133). Colorado State's Jay Pabin is second at five-under (135).
Tournament host Colorado State leads the team leaderboard at six-under (554). The Rams were nine-under (271) in the second round. CSU Fullerton is second at two-under (558).
