DENVER, Colo. – The Gonzaga men's tennis team faced Denver University during their second day of participation in the Denver Hidden Duel. This is Gonzaga's first time playing Denver since the 2021-22 season.
In the doubles competition, Gonzaga's
Matthew Hollingworth and
Pablo Gomez Galvan continued their excellent fall season, defeating Denver's Marvin Schaber and Anish Sriniketh by a score of 7-5 on court one. Gonzaga's
Gus Krauel and
Tom Dunlop also performed in doubles, losing 6-1 to Denver's Charlie Miller and Peter Sallay in the No.2 spot.
Later on, Gonzaga battled against a talented Denver squad in the singles competition. On court one, Hollingworth earned a 6-4, 6-4 win over Schaber. Galvan also picked up a win, as he defeated Salley by a score of 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 in the No.2 spot. Dunlop battled, but lost 6-2, 6-2 in his court three match against Sriniketh. Closing out the day for the Zags was Krauel, who lost to Denver's Raffaello Papajcik by a score of 7-6, 7-5 in the No.4 spot.
