PENNSAUKEN, New Jersey -- The Gonzaga women's rowing team finished the first day of the NCAA Championships this morning. The races continue tomorrow morning at Camden County Boathouse with the first race beginning at 6 a.m. Pacific Time.
In the 1V8 race, the Zags competed in the third heat and finished fifth with a time of 7:06.187. Their finish put them in the Semi-Final C race tomorrow morning at 5:12 a.m. Pacific Time as the Bulldogs will go against Duke, Indiana, Navy and Southern California.Â
The 2V8 crew raced in the fourth heat and placed fifth with a finishing time of 7:24.711. Tomorrow, the boat will competed in the Semi-Final D race against Jacksonville, Rutgers, Southern California, and Syracuse at 6:12 a.m.
Rounding out the first day of competition was the 1V4 crew that placed fifth in the second heat with a time of 8:23.109. The boat will race again tomorrow in the Semi-Final D race against George Washington, Northeastern, Rutgers and Southern California at 7 a.m.
